It’s a knockout anniversary for Lynn Lions

The King’s Lynn Lions Club has organized the Town’s annual Family Fun Day on The Walks since 1998.
Over the years the June event has raised many thousands of pounds for local charities and drawn record crowds to The Walks. They have enjoyed thrilling spectacles including motorcycle displays, aerial escape acts…even a donkey derby. But 2008 exceeded all of these!
To mark their tenth anniversary, the Lions held an authentic ‘It’s a Knockout’ event on Sunday 1st June, complete with outlandish blowups and lots of water games. The event will be produced by ‘Graham Fishers It’s a Knockout’, the country’s biggest and best known organisers who have specialised in perpetuating the fun of the popular TV programme for over 25 years.
The event was supported by 12 teams who competed for trophies and a £1000 cash donation to their chosen charity. This was won by The Lord Napier pub team who were fabulous in french maid costumes and worthy winners of a great day!
They have chosen First Responders as the beneficiaries of their £1000 prize. The overall event raised almost a further £1000 for Lions charities. Well done to all involved!
